Jimmy Choo and UGG collaborate

The world of fashion is slave to a good designer and high-street collaboration. Sell-out collections for Jil Sander's +J at Uniqlo and round-the-block queues for Giles Deacon's Gold at New Look have become fashion-news norm. There's also, of course, H&M's impressive roll-call of partnerships with designers including Karl Lagerfeld, Matthew Williamson and, most recently, Lanvin, which will be met with near-hysteria when it launches next month, if the build-up is anything to go by.

So, to tide us collaboration-hungry folk over until that particular high-street scrummage, Jimmy Choo and UGG Australia have come up trumps with a 'fashion marriage' of their own. Though, at first glance, an unlikely coupling, the limited-edition collection will bring the comfort of the original UGG Boot to a whole different playing field, adding some of Jimmy Choo'ssignature studding, prints and even hobo fringing details.

For a small collection of just five styles, the "Ch-UGG" range leaves few colour-ways unturned, with the classic black, chestnut and chocolate joined by charcoal cable-knit, and zebra and leopard prints as a backdrop to those UGG Bootdetails.

And the good news is the wait is already over, as the collection launched last night at the Selfridges Shoe Galleries, so you can get your hands on them now.
