Behold! The Gag That Convinced Oprah to Give A Homeless Man $100

Maybe she was fresh out of Ugg boots ，UGG 1875, UGG 5733, UGG Bailey Button Krinkle, fashion shoes box, ugg boot with heels and sweater capes, but one homeless man told the New York Post that Oprah Winfrey gave him $100 when he ran into the TV mogul in the city's Meatpacking district this past weekend.

But unlike, say, one of the ladies who suffer grand maul seizures during Oprah's annual favourite things episodes, 49-year-old Julio Bazan apparently had to work for his hundred DOLL-A-A-A-A-RS.

As Bazan told the Post, he spotted the great and benevolent O chilling in her limo in front of NYC's Soho House hotel, and perhaps recognizing that a TV billionaire may have a few bucks (or at least a copy of the new Jonathan Franzen book) to spare, he went up to the car.

The gambit didn't work on the first try, as Bazan told the paper that Oprah said she had no money, going on to show him her empty purse, Great Depression hobo-style.

But Bazan wouldn't back down, and busted out a different tactic: jokiness. As per the Post, here's the gag he tried out on Oprah:

"Hey, Oprah, why is it good to date a homeless man? [Because] when you're finished you can drop him off anywhere."

"She laughed," Bazan told the paper. She also passed him $100 -- which leaves us wondering whether better gags would be remunerated accordingly. Anyway, Bazan told the paper he promptly spent the money on booze, underwear and a steak dinner. Somewhere, Suze Orman weeps.
